Toshi Sakamoto is an Orthopedic Physician Assistant who works with Dr. James Bruce Moseley. A native of Japan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from Guilford College in North Carolina while he played for their baseball team. He received the first team All-Conference awards and All-Conference academic awards. He received his Master's of Education at Lynchburg College in Virginia and worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for men's lacrosse, women's soccer, and women's field hockey. He also enjoyed an internship with the Seattle Mariners during spring training in Arizona. Toshi worked at Southeastern Orthopedic Specialists in Greensboro, NC as a clinical athletic trainer for 15 years. During those years, he worked with several orthopedic surgeons and multiple sports medicine physicians and was a member of the medical team for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 2011 and 2015 and AT&T American Cup Gymnastic in 2014. He was also invited as an instructor for a casting and splinting workshop at Cone Health Sports Medicine fellowship program, Elon University physician assistant program, and Greensboro College athletic training program.Memberships
