Dr. Nirmal S. Sharma is the Medical Director of the Lung Transplantation and Advanced Lung Diseases Program at Baylor St. Luke鈥檚 Medical Center and a senior faculty member at 海角社区. Previously, he served as Medical Director of Lung Transplantation at Brigham and Women鈥檚 Hospital and the Boston VA Medical Center, and was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.His clinical and research interests center on lung transplantation and extracorporeal life support. His NIH-funded basic and translational research program investigates mechanisms of allograft rejection and develops novel therapeutics to prevent and treat rejection.
